Singer-actor Ali Zafar made his debut in Bollywood with Tere Bin Laden in 2010. Since then, there has been no looking back for the 33-year-old. He went on to sign films such as Mere Brother ki Dulhan, London Paris New York and comic film, Chashme Badoor.
Word is going around that Zafar will now be seen in a completely different avatar. “I am being offered gangster roles and action movies now,” Zafar said in an exclusive interview.
He is currently in Mumbai after attending the Cannes Film Festival in France, to work on his upcoming movies Aman ki Asha and Kill Dil.
“Most scripts that come to me have me playing a romantic lover boy. That role doesn’t particularly excite me but Aman ki Asha isn’t a regular rom com, there’s more to it,” said Zafar.
Aman ki Asha will hit theatres on August 15, while his action film, Kill Dil, co-starring Parineeti Chopra and Ranveer Singh, is slated for a 2014 release.
