David and Victoria Beckham gave away hundreds of items of clothing to charity, but shoppers put their finds on eBay for higher prices just hours later.
People who sifted through the clothes rails were in with the chance of taking home sparkling pairs of Posh’s Louboutin and Jimmy Choo heels, glam D&G and Roberto Cavalli clothes, and other major style steals — all for under £200.
David’s custom D&G suits were also on sale, setting shoppers back £125, while jeans were priced at £50, baseball caps at £25 and other high heels at £100.
However, it seems it wasn’t just Posh and Becks’ fans that flocked to the store in a bid to take home an item from the world of the rich and famous. Clothing from the sale was listed on auction website eBay just hours later, priced far higher than sold for at the charity shop earlier that the day.
Among items listed online were expensive Dolce & Gabbana shoes, and a tuxedo with a reserve price of £300 which was much greater than the £75 price paid for it just hours before.
The British Red Cross was hoping to raise £40,000 from the sale. It appears that some entrepreneurs might be raising much, much more.
