TV actor Ayesha Khan was eye-catching in this intense all-black ensemble at the launch of HSY and Y’OCA’s collaborative designer furniture. We are glad that instead of looking like a gothic school girl she kept her make-up subtle and chose a bunch of statement accessories to spruce up her outfit. Here is a breakdown of how you can get a similar look:
Hair
Ayesha opted to curl her streaked hair at the ends, while the loose curls fall perfectly on her shoulders; we wish she would have added more volume at the crown. For a similar hairdo, apply some curl-defining mousse to the ends of your hair and use a medium-barrel curling iron to curl your hair. For some volume, lightly backcomb your hair at the crown. You can also add a personal touch by going for a front puff instead.
Make-up
Thankfully Ayesha did not go for smoky eyes and instead chose refreshing peachy make-up, though we would have preferred a little less foundation on the face. For those sweet peachy lips, try MAC’s Coral Bliss lipstick (Rs1,800). Instead of using a cakey foundation, apply a small amount of tinted moisturiser or primer. Use Maybelline’s Dream Bouncy blush in Peach Satin shade (Rs1,500) for the cheeks and Clinique’s eye-defining liquid liner for such precisely lined eyes.
Outfit
Ayesha went for an all-black tapered jumpsuit and a shrug in the cold winters of Lahore. Hit the racks at Mango (Rs6,000) or Mantra (Rs5,000) for a similar jumpsuit. We’d suggest a slightly more embellished cover-up or a leather jacket for an edgier look. Check out these shops or just order them online from High Street (Rs4,000) or Cleo (Rs7,000).
Accessories and shoes
We love how she has added life to her outfit with a gold, white and black statement necklace and a bunch of gold square bangles. Shop online at High Street or check out Accessorize (Rs3,500) for these accessories. You can also use a more antique range from Khaadi’s new jewelry collection. The best part about an all black outfit is that no matter what colour accessory you will wear, it’ll work. She is wearing simple plain black pumps. They can be easily found at Charles and Keith (Rs5,000) and Next (Rs4,000).
