B-town beauties dazzled on the red carpet of the Big Star Entertainment Awards 2013. Donning the best of traditional and contemporary wear, most of the leading divas looked smouldering hot at the event.
We know that you take a shine to most of these lovely ladies, so here, we bring to some of our favourite and not-so-favourite looks from the evening that you can draw inspiration from or learn to keep away from.
Vaani Kapoor
Our favourite look from the evening, hands down! The Gulabi girl looked sensational on the red carpet in a dusty pink Innana by Monica & Karishma gown. With soft waves and a matching box clutch, she looked drop-dead gorgeous. The lightly shaded eyes and glossy pink lips added finesse to her look. Not only did she win the Best Debut award at the event, but has also made a fabulous debut on our list of Bollywood fashionistas.
Kareena Kapoor
The ‘gori’ from recent rom-com Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, failed to impress us. Khan wore a gold Shantanu Nikhil sari gown, which was lacklustre and boring. Although her skin glowed, her matching, glittery eye shadow and pink lips did nothing to salvage her look. Her make-up didn’t enhance her gorgeous cheek bones, and the sleek, neat hair bun merely made her face look bigger. Yawn!
Sunny Leone
Wowza! Although the actor has been a controversy magnet in recent times, there was nothing questionable about her look for the evening. Leone looked ravishing in a draped black and white lehenga sari with a red border and golden zari work. The Jackpot actor hit the jackpot with her traditional jhumkas. With crayoned eyes, glossy lips and glowing skin, she looked gorgeous. Her up-do was a nice touch to her look.
Sonakshi Sinha
The Dabangg actor has not been a frontrunner in our list of stylish celebs, but her look for the evening is definitely worth appreciating. Clad in a Zara Umrigar black and beige gown, Sinha looked stunning. Her side swept loose curls, eyes lined in black with a dash of gold, lots of mascara, and burgundy lips were to die for. We like her vintage earrings and the fact that she kept her accessories to a bare minimum.
Deepika Padukone
This pick may not come as a surprise, but the actor never fails to surprise us with her fabulous sense of style. Clad in a black and white outfit, Padukone looked simple yet chic. Her gorgeous golden neckpiece added oomph to her look. The cat eyeliner enhanced her catty eyes and the orange lip colour, also a 2013 fashion favourite, added zest to her face. Her flawless, golden skin shone through the dress. We’re not blown away by the puffed-up, messy hairdo. Perhaps, a side chignon would have spruced up her look even more.
