The 20th Annual Life Ok Screen Awards was one of the major awards nights for B-town, which saw an array of superstars setting the stage on fire with their dazzling, high-octane performances. However, the event wasn’t the perfect celebration of red carpet fashion.
There were quite a few misses, especially Deepika Padukone’s Addams Family-inspired look. Nonetheless, there were a scant few who wowed us with their looks, such as the two sexy sirens of B-town — Chitrangada Singh and Neha Dhupia. Here’s why we thought they stood out among all the star celebrities.
Chitrangada Singh
Hair and make-up
The dusky beauty looks gorgeous with her sultry eyes enhanced with winged liner and volume mascara. Her make-up looks spot on, and that pink pout works well with her naturally rosy cheeks. Her voluminous waves are simply asking for wind to blow them away, dropping some serious jaws.
Outfit
Are we loving it or are we loving it?! Chitrangada completely steals the limelight in this exquisite white Dior gown. The black waist panel fits in well the black-and-white trend and the side pockets look oh-so-chic. The silhouette and the flare fit flatter her petite frame.
Accessories and shoes
The Inkaar actor works simplicity by keeping her accessories to the bare minimum. She is only sporting a black and gold chunky bracelet and while we appreciate her idea of letting the dress stand out on its own, a pair of earrings or a statement choker would have worked too. Although, we can’t see her shoes, we are assuming she’d definitely be wearing a pair of hot designer heels.
Neha Dhupia
Hair and make-up
Actor Neha Dhupia never fails to impress on the red carpet. She looks stunning in those side-swept loose waves and smoky eyes. Nude make-up on a wheatish skin tone can make one appear pasty, but Neha looks illuminated and fresh. The only thing she could have easily done without is that nude lip shade.
Outfit
Neha went for a simple ivory floor-length gown by Indian designer Ranna Gill. The sheer fabric with embroidery around the neckline adds to the femininity of the outfit. Considering her eclectic sense of fashion, critics have called her look lacklustre, but no matter what they have to say, we love it!
Accessories and shoes
While she scores high on make-up and outfit, Neha’s accessories were a bit of a let-down. That cuff bracelet looks a tad tacky and artificial, and the dark gold shimmery clutch clashes with the colour of her outfit. A plain taupe velvet clutch and pearl accessories would have been a better option. We can’t make out her shoes, thanks to the length of her gown, but we are hoping she didn’t make the same mistake in the shoe department.
