Huma Amir Shah looked sleek and classy at the launch event of HSY-YOCA. We love the clean lines, staple pieces and unexpected pops of colour in her ensemble. Here’s how to get her look.
Hair
A simple blow dry gives Huma’s hair volume, and shows off her layers. Spritz your hair with water, grab your blow dryer and flip your hair over. Use your fingers to comb through your hair as you blow dry to get similar volume. Make sure you use anti-frizz serum though, this weather is static heaven, and you don’t want frizzy hair. Huma’s hairstyle looks a little like Jennifer Aniston’s iconic hairdo, ‘the Rachel’. What do you think?
Outfit
It’s back to basics for this elegant woman. Huma has paired wardrobe staples in order to look sophisticated and classy. A simple black blazer, black pants and a grey tee make this the perfect semi-formal combination. The best part? There’s a high chance that some, or all of these items, are already in your closet.
Make-up
Huma’s face is slightly sun-kissed with some bronzer, and nude lipstick to boot. Apply bronzer from the Body Shop to your cheek bones and temples in order to create a glow, and apply L’Oreal’s colour rich lipstick in Fairest Nude for similar lips. As for her eyes, Huma has used copious amounts of mascara to make her eyes look bigger and brighter. Apply L’Oreal’s Voluminous Million Lashes mascara to really make your lashes stand out. As for her nails, a bright orange works well offsetting the black. Apply Essie’s Fear or Desire to make your nails shine.
Accessories and Shoes
Matching shoes and a scarf really pulls this look together. They don’t even need to be red! You could go for green or blue, any colour, as long as both items match, is a winner. We do however, feel a long necklace paired with a scarf is unnecessary, as your neck will be covered, but if it suits your fancy, grab a long, silver necklace from Sentiments or your local jeweller.
