It is good to see the sleeping giants of the music industry finally waking up. Fuzon, one of the most popular bands of Pakistan with timeless tracks like Khamaj and Teray bina, are all set to release their third album next month. The album titled Ek Ranjha is being termed as a tribute album, which will have covers of ten classics from different genres that are popular in the sub-continent. The video for four songs have been produced and songs include Laai Beqadran naal yaari originally sung by Ustaad Tufail Niazi, Ek Raanjha originally sung by Ustaad Salamat Ali Khan , Meray shauq da nahin aitebaar, originally sung by Ghulam Ali and the timeless Gulon mae rung bharain, originally sung Mehdi Hasan.
The fans of Fuzon might question the lack of original content in there much-awaited third album but it is still a pleasant sign for the music industry. After all, a mainstream band is opting to release an entire album instead of just singles in times when record labels are hardly providing any help to artists.
Ek Ranjha will be released in the first week of April under the banner of EMI Pakistan and Laai Beqadran naal yaari will be its first video.
