Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan, who has appeared on all the previous seasons of the popular celebrity chat show Koffee with Karan, will not feature on it this season. This will be the first time that the Chennai Express actor will be skipping the television show, hosted by his dear friend and film-maker Karan Johar.
The 48-year-old actor has appeared in all the previous seasons of the chat show, which revolves around celebrities from the film industry. He has always been an integral part of it. In the first two seasons, Shahrukh appeared in the opening episode itself. In the first one which was back in 2004, the Bollywood megastar appeared with Kajol Mukherji and in the next one he was accompanied by both his Kuch Kuch Hota Hai co-stars Kajol Mukerji and Rani Mukerji. In the third season of the show he appeared solo; till this day it remains one of the most heart-wrenching episodes of Koffee with Karan.
“Shahrukh Khan won’t be coming on the show this time,” revealed a source, reported the Deccan Chronicle.
The first episode of season four, which started in December 2014, opened with the Dabangg star, Salman Khan; it was his first time on the show.
Koffee with Karan will have actors Alia Bhatt and Parineeti Chopra in the final celebrity episode which will be aired on coming Sunday, April 6, on Star World. “This Sunday will be the last celebrity episode and the finale episode will be the best of Koffee with Karan this season,” said the same source.
This will be Alia Bhatt’s second appearance on the show this season; she had earlier appeared on the show with her Student of the Year co-stars, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra.
