The 38-year-old Bollywood actor, Shilpa Shetty has pledged to donate her eyes during her visit to the famous shrine Shani Shinganapur. She filled up a form with a social organization, Yashwant Samajik Pratisthan that confirmed her promise to donate her eyes after death.
“My eyes will be of no use to me after death. It gives me satisfaction that my eyes can give vision to someone else,” she said at the occasion at Shirdi.
Following her franchise Rajasthan Royals’ defeat in the IPL tournament 2014, Shilpa, along with her husband Raj Kundra and father Surendra Shetty visited famous Sai Baba temple at Shirdi. She also commented on Narenda Modi’s win in the elections and expects that safety of women should be among the priority agendas of the government. The actor has previously expressed immense respect for the prime minister and stated that he will turn out to be a fantastic leader for India.
Earlier Shilpa’s sister, Shamita Shetty had also vowed to donate her eyes through the same organisation. The Big Boss winner is recently busy with her business venture with Satyug Gold that will showcase jewellery designed by Shilpa herself, reported Times of India.
