Once the ‘most hated’ villain in Bollywood, Gulshan Grover is in awe of Pakistani artistes and Pakistani cinema. In a conversation with Roznama Express, Grover shared that he is surprised to see the kind of fan following Bollywood films have in Pakistan and how hoards of people go to cinemas to get entertained by actors from across the border. He said that he got a chance to visit Pakistan during one of the Kara film festivals, when many other Indian artistes including Mahesh Bhatt also visited and engaged in discussions about collaborative productions, however, nothing really worked out.
“I think we need to evolve with time and catch up with the rest of the world, both Pakistan and Indian have a lot of talent that needs to be polished by providing bigger and better platforms,” said Grover.
Grover is of the opinion that Pakistanis have worked hard to prove their mettle in Bollywood and it’s a great that Indian films have so much following in Pakistan. “We have a similar thought pattern, a similar culture and a similar way of life, which is a great. People of Pakistan have given me so much love and respect that I will always remember it”
He even showed interest in working for a Pakistani project that suits him.
