Actor Shraddha Kapoor of Aashiqui 2 fame wants to ‘conquer’ a lot more in Bollywood and is willing to work hard for it. Daughter of veteran actor Shakti Kapoor is now three films old and is currently busy promoting her fourth film Ek Villian, co-starring Student of the Year star Sidharth Malhotra.
What many people don’t know is that before Aashiqui 2, Shraddha made her acting debut with Teen Patti alongside Amitabh Bachchan, R Madhavan and others. Her next release was Luv Ka The End with Y-Films, a subsidiary of Yash Raj Films. However, both the films failed at the box-office. It was her third attempt, Aashiqui 2, which turned out to be a blockbuster and brought Shraddha in the limelight.
“After the success of Aashiqui 2, I feel I need to conquer a lot more. I am constantly working towards it and I will work harder. Nobody expected Aashiqui 2 could do so well as it had two new faces. It changed so many lives – mine, Mohit Suri’s (director) and Aditya Roy Kapur’s (actor) and also the singers and composers,” said Shraddha, reported the Deccan Chronicle.
The actor is overwhelmed with the kind of appreciation she has received after her role as Arohi in Aashiqui 2. “For me, to be remembered as Arohi was the biggest compliment. Whenever I go out, people scream Arohi… that is the effect of Aashiqui 2,” she said.
She is honoured to be working with Mohit again for Ek Villian. “It feels great to be working with Mohit again. I am a huge fan of his work. To work with Mohit again is the reward of Aashiqui 2.”
