At the launch of the song Party with the Devil — the latest song from Salman Khan’s upcoming film Kick all hell broke loose. The cameramen at the launch requested Salman to pose for a picture, which the star refused to do. A face-off began between the star’s security detail and the paparazzi at 10:30pm and continued for half an hour, reported the Hindustan Times. When the photographers got too close to Salman for taking his pictures, the guards pushed them away.
Once things cooled down, Salman said, “Photographers need to maintain a distance and if the security guard is protecting us, they are not doing anything wrong. We are there for each other.”
However, what annoyed the shutterbug is when he further added that those who want to cover the event are welcome to stay; the rest can leave if they wish. Ever since this incident, the union has decided to boycott Salman, as well as his upcoming film Kick. “Salman Khan needs to apologise to us or else we will not photograph him. The blackout will continue till July 25 when his film Kick hits theatres. We will not click him even if we see him cycling at Bandstand. Our union will take up the issue at a meeting on Monday,” said one of the photographers on behalf of the rest.
Earlier, photographers had banned actor Shraddha Kapoor when she refused to pose for them at an event. The star eventually met the media persons to sort out the ‘misunderstanding’.
This stand by the paparazzi, however, doesn’t seem to bother Salman. On Monday, he posted a news report regarding the ban on Twitter, captioned, “ha ha ha.”

In a later tweet, he said, “this is what I call a stand, the photographers are going to lose out on work, but have still taken a decision not to take my pictures. Happy for them.”

“I would have immense respect for them if they keep this stand,” he added.
