Singham Returns
After bringing criminals to justice in Rohit Shetty’s Singham (2011), Ajay Devgn has reprised his role as DCP Bajirao Singham in Singham Returns. The film tells the story of a police officer who jumps through hoops to prove his bravery and honesty. Starring opposite Devgn is Kareena Kapoor Khan, whose last film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein (2013) bombed at the box office. All eyes are set to see how Bebo bedazzles audiences in Singham Returns. The film is expected to receive a ‘roaring’ response from the audience.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
As Shredder and his evil foot clan maintain an iron grip on New York City, the turtles come of their shells to salvage it. It’s a classic good and evil face off as the group of mutated warriors shred Shredder’s hope to take over the city. Starring Will Arnett, Megan Fox, Whoopi Goldberg and Noel Fisher, the film, which has been a raving success worldwide, is certainly worth a watch.
Mein Adakara Banungi
Actors Sania Saeed and Abdullah Farhatullah’s ongoing play revolves around a young girl who dreams of becoming an actor and confides in her conservative school teacher. The 90-minute performance is a sure-fire entertainer and definitely worth your time. The show will be running from August 8 till September 8 at the Karachi Arts Council.
Expendables 3
When legendary Hollywood stars and former archrivals Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger team up for a film, it is guaranteed to give you an adrenaline rush. The film focuses on a mercenaries called ‘The Expendables’ as they come at loggerheads with arms dealer and the group’s co-founder Conrad Stonebanks. With a star-studded cast that includes Mel Gibson, Jet Li, Jason Statham and Wesley Snipes, the film is expected to keep you glued to your seats. Certainly not expendable in our movie bucket list.
