Bollwood Actor Sonakshi Sinha will soon be seen in action-comedy film Action Jackson. Sharing screen space with co-actors Yami Gautam and Manasvi Mamgai, the Dabangg actor says she has no uncertainties about doing a movie with two other female stars and that it does not make her insecure at all, reports the Times of India.
“I think I have established my name in the industry in a way that I am not insecure of the fact that the film has two other heroines. I genuinely liked the role and just because there are two more heroines, I can’t say no to a film,” says the 27-year-old actor.
Sinha is happy to finally be a part of a multi-starrer film, which also has Ajay Devgn in it. “This is the first time I am working in a multi-starrer. It was a fun film to be involved with,” she said.
Action Jackson is directed by Prabhudeva with whom Sonakshi has previously worked with in Rowdy Rathore and R…Rajkumar. Sinha expresses that the upcoming movie is a typical commercial film, which the choreographer-director Prabhudeva is best known for.
She also said that Action Jackson offers the actor to play a comedic role. “It is a typical Prabhu sir film, full of entertainment and masala. When I was offered the film, Prabhu sir told me he is looking for someone who has good comic timing. This film gave me an opportunity to play a character which is overloaded with comedy,” the actor said.
Besides, making potboilers, Prabhudheva is also known for his quirky choreography of his songs. Sonakshi said since she has worked with Prabhu several times, ans has had no problem picking up the moves but her-co-star Devgn was initially struggling with the dancing.
“I love dancing and I don’t see it as a task. It is my passion too. So, I pick up Prabhu sir’s steps quickly. As we know, Ajay sir does not like dancing and he tried to keep away from it but Prabhu sir is a brilliant choreographer and he knows the limitations of a person.” He designed steps according to Ajay’s comfort. He was little hesitant before doing the steps but finally, he did it perfectly. And I guess that comfort also shows on screen,” Sonakshi said.
Apart from being a passionate dancer, Sinha does not hesitate to bring an extra bit of chutzpah to her film costumes. When she received praises for her glitzy outfit in the song Keeda from Action Jackson, she revealed that she had styled her wardrobe herself.
Action Jackson will hit theatres on December 5.
