Designer Sanam Chaudhri’s sense of style is always spot on. Associate it with her textile degree from Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture or call it something that comes to her naturally — Sanam has the potential to turn heads around wherever she goes.
Her impeccable style landed her the Best Dressed Female on the Red Carpet award at the Lux Style Awards in 2012. Her style is edgy yet feminine, bold yet sophisticated. “My style has always been the same,” says Sanam. “For me, less is always more. I am not a ‘bling person’ at all, which is why you won’t see a hint of bling in the clothes that I make or even the ones that I wear.”
The outfits that Sanam designs speak a lot about her personal style. “I like solids and geometric prints. These days, I am very inspired by the bold fashion of the ’80s. That is what I am wearing these days, too — geometric shirts and flared pants.” She added that she loves designer Maheen Khan’s work. “Her pieces are timeless. I love the cuts she adds to clothes.”
Apart from clothes, Sanam loves shoes and bags and also loves collecting them. Her favourite pair of shoes are Nicholas Kirkwood heels she owns.
