KARACHI: Having built a cult following for more than a decade, Overload will introduce their latest music video Nimmi Nimmi on November 24, according to a press release.
The video which has been directed by Humayun himself depicts a man who possesses all worldly pleasures but still senses a void caused by parting from his lover. The video shows him feeling broken and helpless after being left alone.
While talking to The Express Tribune Farhad said, “All my work is reflective of myself, feelings matter more to me than thoughts. So when I think of visuals I’m conscious of how an image makes me feel rather than what I think of it.”
“Nimmi Nimmi is a song I didn’t really have to create out of a vacuum. It seemed to write itself out and the music came together beautifully when Sheraz Siddiq (Keyboardist of Overload) casually played three melancholic chords on the piano.” he added
The Cursed drummer believes that it’s hard for a man to express emotion in the world we live, and the way we must be, in order to survive. “Now that I’ve found my voice in Overload, this song seems more real and honest than all my other efforts. It disregards and defies stereotypes associated with showbiz — that’s what Overload is all about “.
Having celebrated their 10th anniversary last year, the band has won several awards, such as the Best Live Act Award at the Lux Style Awards and The Best Band at the HUM Awards.
